Meet Naama Fox, Charleston's new Israel emissary! Born in Kiryat Shmona, Israel, and most recently living in Tel Aviv, Naama served as a sergeant in the Israel Defense Forces where she was a youth commander for kids from Israel and around the world. Naama holds degrees from Tel Aviv University in sociology, anthropology and political science. The Charleston Jewish Federation has brought Naama to the Lowcountry for two years to create living bridges between our community and the people of Israel. What do American Jews have in common with Israelis? What can we learn from one another? Naama will share her new Charleston experiences, challenges, highlights and everything in between, as we explore these questions together.
