7:00 PM - 8:00 PMElijah Siegler is a professor of Religious Studies at the College of Charleston, where he has taught since 2004, and has been active at KKBE since then as well.
He teaches classes on Asian religions in America, Religions of East Asia, American religious history, new religious movements, and religion and popular culture, among many others. One of his favorite classes to teach in recent years was “The Religion of Donald Trump.”
He is the co-author of Dream Trippers: Global Daoism and the Predicament of Modern Spirituality (U Chicago Press, 2017) and the editor of Coen: Framing Religion in Amoral Order (Baylor U Press, 2016). He has a BA from Harvard University and a PhD from the University of California, both in Religious Studies.
