KKBE, the Charleston Jewish Filmfest, Charity Missionary Baptist Church, and the International African American Museum welcome the community for a special screening of Shared Legacies. This acclaimed documentary revisits the coalition and friendship between the Jewish and African American communities during the 1960s Civil Rights Movement with archival materials narrated by eyewitnesses, activists, and leaders of the movement. After the film, Reverend Nelson B. Rivers III and Rabbi Stephanie Alexander will share their perspectives on allyship and their commitment to strengthening it in the face of adversity.
 
The screening will take place Thursday, March 16 at 7:00 p.m. in KKBE’s Sanctuary, 90 Hasell Street.
