Thank you for your interest in ushering/greeting for the 2024/5785 High Holy Days. Our ushers and greeters are often the first contact our congregants and guests have when arriving at services. It is so important to have friendly, knowledgeable, and dedicated volunteers to welcome them.

In addition to greeting attendees with a warm welcome and New Years greeting, primary responsibilities for Ushers and Greeters involve collecting tickets, distributing prayer books, and helping congregants to their seats when needed. 

Ushers also serve as an important part of our security team in their ability to notify Security Officers or KKBE leadership of concerning or suspicious individuals or situations. Specific information pertaining to High Holy Day security will be shared with all Ushers ad Greeters.  

Ushers should arrive 45 minutes before their assigned service, or 60 minutes before for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur morning services.

If you have a spouse, friend or family member who would like to usher, you have the option to sign them up using this form.
