Hebrew Benevolent Society of Charleston, SC
Founded in 1784, it is the oldest Jewish charitable society in the United states. Its membership is open to all Jewish males over the age of 18.

Hebrew Orphan Society
The Hebrew Orphan Society dates back to 1801. The Society is comprised of 36 elected members with past qualifications of leadership in the Jewish and secular community. The Society, in addition to its charitable gifts annually, administers the N. Edgar Miles Scholarship for needy students in South Carolina.

Jewish Heritage Collection at College of Charleston Addlestone Library
The Jewish Heritage Collection is an archive where researchers can access a wealth of materials that document Jewish history and culture in the American South, with an emphasis on South Carolina, from colonial times to present day. Its holdings include the internationally important William A. Rosenthall Judaica Collection. A growing number of oral histories and archival items have been digitized, including the bulk of the Rosenthall Collection, and are available for viewing on the Lowcountry Digital Library. Many artifacts can be found in the online version of the exhibition A Portion of the People: Three Hundred Years of Southern Jewish Life that toured nationally in 2002–03.

Jewish Historical Society of South Carolina
The Historical Society was organized to encourage the study and interpretation of South Carolina Jewish history and to increase awareness of that heritage among Jews and non-Jews.

Jewish Student Union/Hillel
JSU/Hillel serves as the center for Jewish life at the College of Charleston (CofC), the Citadel and the greater Charleston community. It provides programs and activities for the larger campus community by hosting events throughout the year. We offer a laid back atmosphere and welcome anyone with an interest in Judaism. JSU/Hillel promotes awareness of Judaism around both the CofC campus and the greater Charleston community.

YAD (Young Adult Division of the Charleston Jewish Federation)
YAD provides young Jewish singles, couples and new area residents (ages 22 – 40 something) a broad range of social and educational, volunteer, philanthropic and leadership development opportunities. Yaschik/Arnold Jewish Studies Program at the College of Charleston
The College offers a program that passes the Jewish legacy from one generation to the next in an academic, non-denominational setting, providing a major and minor in Jewish Studies and Hebrew instruction through three years, as well as conducting extensive community outreach programs.
