This four-session class will facilitate an understand of and confidence in the prayer book we use, Mishkan T’filah. For those not yet familiar with our worship service, this course will teach how to understand and participate with confidence in a Shabbat and Jewish holiday worship service in our sanctuary. For some, a lack of familiarity with our service and, in particular, our prayer book may act as a deterrent for people to attend one of our services. We want everyone to feel comfortable and confident every time they join us, so this class is designed to help people increase their knowledge of what goes on in a service from beginning to end.

Classes will help people understand the layout of the prayer book, its contents, and melodies. We will look at how a service unfolds from beginning to end so that everyone feels comfortable joining one of our services at any time.

The class is for beginners and those who feel like a review would help them too. Everyone is welcome. To join, call or email KKBE at 843-723-1090 or shalom@kkbe.org. No books are required. Mishkan T’filah will be our primary textbook throughout the four-session course.

Classes will be taught January 12th, 19th, 26th, and February 2nd all at KKBE and all begin at 7pm. Registration is required. There is no fee and our only book, Mishkan T’filah: A Reform Siddur, will be provided during class time and is also available for individual purchase (not required) online at www.ccarpress.org.

Sorry, Registration has ended.
